Integrity Engineer

Senior Engineer

Engineering Assistant
The ideal candidate should be able to fulfill the following job responsibilities:

  • Be willing to serve under the direction of many different levels and personalities of engineering technical personnel, and administratively support all office engineering project activities based on direction from engineering project managers.
  • Be interested in working in a professional office environment, and be PC-literate (especially with the MS Office suite of products).

Materials Engineer
This is an entry level position for a Materials Engineer having a minimum B.S. degree in Materials or Metallurgical Engineering – related work experience in the power industry is a plus. M.S. or PhD candidates will be considered. Applicants having a B.S degree in Mechanical Engineering with a materials option also will be considered. The successful applicant should have a strong interest in physical metallurgy and a familiarity with arc welding processes and materials selection for strength, corrosion resistance, and weldability. The position will provide opportunity for direct involvement with materials evaluation, failure analysis, root cause investigation, development of repair/support plans responding to Industry Materials Initiatives (e.g., Alloy 600), and welding and weld quality control processes. Fabrication experience of nuclear plant components and familiarity with the use of nuclear codes and standards would be a plus. The job primarily will involve working with nuclear utilities in the mitigation, repair, and replacement of major components (PWR heads, pressurizers, piping, BWR core shroud, etc.), and eventually working on fabrication issues related to new plant construction. Project Manager
The ideal candidate should be able to fulfill the following job responsibilities:

  • Provide multi-disciplined project management (PM) support
    - On engineering projects, support design input gathering process, as well as interface with the client design
    review process and support client readiness meetings.
    - Provide field engineer/liaison support during the implementation of modifications that SI engineers.
    - On engineering and NDE implementation projects, serve as site PM.

Stress Analyst
This is an entry to mid-level position for a Mechanical Engineer having a minimum B.S. degree – related work experience in the nuclear industry is a plus as is a M.S. or Ph.D. The applicant must have a strong stress analysis background and have exposure/training with commercial FE programs (ANSYS preferred). However, this is not a full time FE position, i.e., not all the analyses will require finite element analysis – some may require use of pre-developed SI programs or development of spreadsheets, etc. The successful applicant will be able to adapt a given analysis methodology to similar yet distinct situations. This will require the ability to recognize similarities and resolve differences between the current problem and previously-developed solution methodologies for similar problems. Corporate Buyer

Primary Function:
Responsible for capital equipment procurement, sourcing identification of potential suppliers, MRO supplies & services, inventory control, continuous improvement processes, and supplier quality support, particularly for NPS business unit. Ensures that suppliers meet our targets for quality, delivery, and total cost of acquisition of the products and services the company requires. Duties and Responsibilities:

Engineer/Senior Engineer NDE Applications and Development
The available position is for an individual with at least 5 years experience in application of innovative solutions for customer and industry inspection issues using advanced ultrasonic applications including but not limited to Time of Flight Diffractions (TOFD), annular and linear phased array, as well as conventional ultrasonic techniques. Along with the development of innovative solutions, newly developed and enhanced inspection techniques require proper documentation, procedures and training, and in many cases first time delivery of the solution into the field. Individuals considered for this position should be familiar with field implementation of advanced NDE techniques with an emphasis on ultrasonic testing. Experience with ASME inspection Codes and procedures, including ASME Appendix VII and VIII are preferred. The position involves the use of computerized inspection systems and requires experience with the use of automated inspection systems, scanners, data process and analysis.

Qualified individuals will have demonstrated administrative and technical skills, creativity, and sound engineering judgment in anticipating and solving challenging problems. Successful candidates will also have superior written and oral communication skills. Structural Integrity Associates has an immediate need for a Quality Assurance Engineer in our San Jose, CA office.

Basic Function:

  • Review contract-related documents to approve applicable quality assurance requirements
  • Conduct training and indoctrination to Quality Assurance Program requirements
  • Interface with staff, clients and regulators
  • Conduct audits of quality-related activities to verify proper implementation of the Quality Assurance Program

Engineering Analyst

Position Available:

SI is looking for highly-motivated and talented materials or mechanical engineers who wish to grow and to take part in our growth. The ideal candidate will possess a background in stress analysis, fracture mechanics, heat transfer, and materials science. The position requires the desire to work on short term projects and the ability to multi-task. Some current projects of interest are radiation embrittlement of reactor pressure vessels, developing a fatigue monitoring systems for nuclear power systems, thermal analysis of plant piping, and various crack growth analysis for flaws in structural components.

Qualifications:

Applicants need at least a B.S. or M. S. in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Engineering or similar discipline. Knowledge of strength of materials, fracture mechanics methods, finite element methods, and programming is preferred.

Experience is not required, but the candidate should desire the challenge of working on a project team, be willing and able to perform work under a Quality Assurance Program, have good report writing and communication skills and a love for mechanical or structural engineering.

Contracts Administrator

This position will report directly to the Corporate Risk Manager and support daily contract and administrative operations.

Senior Vibration Engineer

The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in dynamic analysis, vibration testing and analysis techniques, data interpretation, and root cause evaluation. Technical innovation and practical problem-solving skills are highly desired. The position will be located in Centennial (Denver), Colorado.

The senior level vibration engineer shall be proficient in vibration testing and analysis of all types of rotating equipment used in the power generation industry including nuclear, fossil and hydro. Familiarity with other industries including oil, gas, pharmaceutical or chemical is a plus. Professional registration is preferred. A degree in Mechanical Engineering is preferred but a Civil Engineering degree is acceptable.

Knowledge and skills associated with the Vibration Institute’s Category III or higher certification is necessary. Having that type of certification will be a strong plus; otherwise, the candidate must demonstrate the skills associated with sensor selection, data acquisition, signal processing, data interpretation and report generation through other means.

The rotating equipment vibration analysis and test engineer must be able to design and execute high channel count vibration tests and process and interpret the data, make recommendations for successfully solving vibration problems and perform the follow up testing. He or she should possess sufficient project managerial skills to manage small to medium vibration analysis projects, coordinate and expedite the performance of the project team, and interface with clients. The ability to build and analyze finite element models using ANSYS, or have the past experience necessary to direct others to construct such models, is mandatory.

Basic Function:

Reports directly to a Business Unit Manager or Group Manager and contributes to the technical function of the Business Unit. Contract Administrator

Structural Integrity Associates, Inc. is currently seeking a Contract Administrator to manage the daily transaction flow of contractual requirements. This includes processing contract inflow within the company's Customer Relationship Management application (CRM), monitoring the contract correspondence e-mail of daily tasks submitted by the company (both internal and external), and assisting project managers, office administrators and various business unit managers with contract negotiations.
