Advanced Engineering Analysis
Myles Parr joined Structural Integrity Associates as part of the ANATECH acquisition in 2013. Mr. Parr has over 5 years of experience using nonlinear finite element analysis software at ANATECH and Structural Integrity. Currently Mr. Parr is a consultant in the Critical Structures and Facilities group at Structural Integrity Associates.
Mr. Parr is experienced in nonlinear analysis of concrete and steel structures with an emphasis on beyond design-basis load case scenarios for evaluation of structural performance and failure limit states. He has conducted impact analyses on Nuclear Safety Related structures and seismic analyses on critical infrastructure.
Mr. Parr is also knowledgeable in pressure vessel design to the ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code. In particular, he has performed elastic-plastic finite element analyses on vessels under high pressure and ratcheting loads for the evaluation of stress and fatigue in accordance with ASME Section VIII Division 3 and is involved in the ASME Subgroup on High Pressure Vessels.
Mr. Parr has extensive experience using analysis software tools and general-purpose nonlinear finite element programs including ABAQUS, ANSYS, and LS-DYNA. Additionally, he is adept in three-dimensional computer aided design (CAD) programs and has the capabilities to model and discretize advanced 3-D geometries.
