Randy Hodge is a licensed Professional Engineer who started his career as a project engineer for Celanese 26 years ago and later was promoted into a new position tasked with the responsibility for developing a Mechanical Integrity Management (IM) program for a chemical plant site. Randy then took this skill set to the natural gas industry, working for PSNC Energy as the lead to develop their Integrity Management (IM) program. During his career he has developed a diverse set of skills. These include: managing small projects of $10,000 to large international based projects of $40,000,000, designing piping systems, pressure vessels, and storage tanks, as well as their relief systems, performing all steps in the ECDA and ICDA assessments, validating ILI data, recommending repair options for identified defects, selecting proper assessment tools, managing a Cathodic protection (CP) program, and designing CP systems. He became a certified API 510, 570, and 653 inspectors and a NACE Cathodic Protection Specialist (CP4). Mr. Hodge has served on many industry committees, including: API 579 (Fitness for Service), API 580 (Risk Based Inspection), NACE TG 377 (EC-Confirmatory Direct Assessment), and TEG 262X Interference (chairman). He also served on the SGA team tasked with developing the original IM framework, and served as the liaison between the SGA and the NGA team also working on the framework.
