SUMMARY

For more than 40 years, Structural Integrity Associates has served the nuclear industry as a trusted inspection partner. Our nondestructive examination (NDE) practice has serviced more than 50 plants and supported more than 200 outages, drawing on a team with over 250 combined years of experience and delivering services worldwide. Each engagement produces defensible material condition data owners can act on. NDE is only as good as the person applying it, so SIA invests heavily in qualification: Level I, II, and III technicians hold multiple certifications within the EPRI Performance Demonstration Initiative, and our teams help write the codes they work to through ASNT, ASME, and EPRI.

Our nuclear NDE program complies fully with ASME Section XI and Section V, 10CFR50.55a, and the code cases governing modern inservice inspection — N-770-5, N-824, N-831-1 — plus augmented license renewal requirements under NUREG-1801 and -2191. A parallel SNT-TC-1A commercial program extends that rigor to non-Section XI examinations across power generation and other critical infrastructure. Our NDE methods and technologies span conventional and advanced ultrasonic testing, phased array and FMC/TFM, guided wave testing, SIPEC™ dynamic pulsed eddy current, acoustic emissions, liquid penetrant and magnetic particle examination, 3D scanning profilometry, material characterization, and NDE training.

Those methods provide the data to inform the most critical decisions. Our NDE applications include dissimilar metal welds and weld overlays, UT in lieu of radiography, corrosion mapping through coatings and at temperature, buried and raw water piping, tank internals via submersible robotics, pressure vessels with the SIIVAS in-vessel scanner, heavy lift rigs, and turbine and generator rotors. Where no solution existed, SIA built one — from the first PAUT procedure qualified in lieu of radiography on an ASME Class 1 component to the first commercial CASS solution, LATITUDE™ manual encoding, patented HDPE piping examination, and SIIQ™ remote monitoring.O

What separates SIA is what happens after the scan.
