What is MAPPro?

MAPPro is a user-friendly interface that provides access to management tools for buried and underground piping asset data including design, operation, chemistry, historical values, leak/repair info, consequence parameters, and inspections.



Additional purpose-built applications are embedded to support industry standards and License Renewal activities including NEI 07-07 & NEI 09-14 program management and cathodic protection GALL requirements.

MAPPro is part of SI’s Life Cycle Management approach for piping and other components.

What is MAPProView?

MAPProView is a feature of MAPPro that allows the user to graphically visualize all aspects of data within the database overlaid on an aerial image of the facility. Viewing information in this way gives system cathodic protection, and groundwater protection engineers, a simple method to collaborate on maintenance and excavation planning activity.

The viewer tool can be utilized to review detailed data of site assets based on location and includes cathodic protection annual survey areas to monitor performance and develop maintenance strategies. By viewing piping systems graphically, asset managers are able to see exposed areas and select evaluation points to assess piping system integrity and optimize the need for excavation.

As a pioneer in nuclear plant life extension program design and implementation, SI has specifically developed MAPPro to help program managers meet regulatory commitments for cathodic protection of underground piping.

MAPPro 4.0 now includes tools that allow the user to manage data for piping systems above ground and in-buildings.

This expansion of the database incorporates new data fields not previously available that pertain specifically to above ground piping systems. New smart features are being developed that will treat inspection results as representative of other un-inspected pipe areas through SI’s Inspection Expansion algorithm. Furthermore, engineers will be able to build lines and systems and interact with live data using our flexible pipe-builder tool.

The MAPPro 4.0 wells and groundwater data management tool improves the management of situations involving inadvertent radiological releases that get into groundwater.

It can be used to improve communication with external stakeholders to enhance trust and confidence on the part of local communities, States, and the NRC. MAPPro 4.0 supports evaluations done to further the understanding of the risk for soil or groundwater contamination at the site posed by systems, structures, components or work practices. It is consistent with a comprehensive baseline groundwater monitoring program for a site that has implemented a conceptual model, monitoring wells, and tools to analyze and interpret data.

SIPE

SIPE software performs Code Case N-513 evaluations from any web enabled device so you can quickly evaluate thinned or leaking pipe to determine if it meets the ASME and NRC requirements for structural stability.

If so, repair or replacement may be deferred until the next scheduled refueling outage provided other N-513 requirements are met related to subsequent examination and extent of condition.
